FRIDAY - Phew, I made it...

 Dear This Week... You sucked. Work sucked. I felt crappy. The dog was hurt and then was a pain in the butt all week. My BF is grumpy.  

 

Dear Friday.... Seriously, so happy you are here.  It's been a rough week all around.  I'm very ready for the weekend.

Dear Blog Swaps... You were really the one bright spot of my week!  I got 2 swap packages and can't wait to blog about them.

I am big on layering and have a cardigan handy almost all of the time.  I just love the casual/comfy look of this outfit and it is totally something I would wear.

Dear Beautiful Horses... I'm coming to see you!  Apparently you are not only beautiful, but also talented.  I'm excited to find out exactly what that means on Saturday night, at Valitar!

Dear Ocotillo Desert... No crashing allowed for my boyfriend tomorrow, please.  He has to be back in time for Valitar. Plus, I've already been through enough of that crap, right?

Dear Pinterest... I am coming for you this weekend to decide what to eat/make/buy for Thanksgiving.  I'm sure there will be an overwhelming number of ideas, so I should probably narrow it down before I start. ;-)

Dear Christmas Decorating... I'm making some plans for you. OK, the ornament tree might be a bit advanced but I could definitely do the ornaments in the glass jar, and maybe the wine bottles.  Wonder if Gunney would sit still long enough for me to snap a pic like that!  :-)

Dear Readers... I've jumped to 100(+) this week.  Thank you all!  Assuming a lot of you came from my sponsorships recently, we can pretty much agree we will get along , since we read the same blogs. duh.  ; -)

Dear Boyfriend... I'm looking forward to our dinner and a (horse) show date Saturday night. It's been a while since we've done something new. yay! :-)

The boots are beautiful!  Unfortunately they are $300.

Dear Weekend... Until 3 days ago I thought you were going to be a 3 day long one.  What genius at my company is responsible for that screw up?? Ugh...

Dear Rain... I love that you arrived just in time for the split pea soup I made yesterday in the CrockPot!  But, you don't need to stay all weekend, OK? Thanks.

Dear Top Chef: Seattle... I haven't seen your premiere yet, but I should have time to watch you this weekend on the DVR.  I have enjoyed all of your previous incarnations so I assume I am going to love you.

Dear Readers/Followers... I've jumped up a bunch since being featured on a few blogs, and (I'm sure) due to my BRAVE giveaway.  Welcome to all the new people!  I'm happy to have you and hope you'll stick around for a long time.  :-)  (Also, hugs to all the "old" people, of course!  hehe)

Dear Boyfriend... Yes, I DO think it would be fun to go to one of these horse show extravaganzas we've been seeing on billboards around town lately.  And yes, it's kind of weird that I have never heard of these before and now there are TWO extremely similar shows in town this month.  But hey...it's a date! :-)  xoxoxo

This week's theme centers around bonfires, and what you would wear to one!

Alison had this to say about the theme:  I hope you'll join me by concocting your most beautiful bonfire look. One of my favorite fall traditions is spending an evening around the bonfire, eating s'mores and staying cozy.  I only wish we could all get together for a night of blogger fun and stories around a fire.

(I totally agree!  Blogger bonfire?  Count me in!)

Here's what I'm thinking, for a beach bonfire... 

because, for me, there really is no other kind of bonfire!  

We actually go down to Mission Bay pretty often for BBQ/bonfire/fireworks watching, but not as often this time of year.  It's all about layering!

Dear Mom - Can't wait to see you tonight!   It's been kind of strange with you gone in Yellowstone all summer but we've got 2 solid days of eating and baseball watching coming up.

Dear BF - Thanks for getting my birthday tires this weekend, yay!  (Not a sarcastic yay, tires are a great gift when you are old like me.  haha)  And... I love you.

Dear Mortgage Company -  You are very frustrating and stressful.  I do not like you. At all.

Dear Work... I think next week I will be more motivated to give a crap.  Let's just get through today, enjoy this weekend apart and get started again Monday morning. 

Dear Gunney... You sure are a whiny dog!  You whine to come in and then sit here and whine in our faces.  It's getting kind of old. (You sure are a cute dog, too, though. And I know you are missing your pesky little sister, so I kind of forgive you. For now! P.S. Juliet will be here tonight.)

And for Friday's Fancies... Halloween ideas!  I don't have a costume in mind and probably won't be dressing up this year.  The last time I wore a costume I was a Queen Bee. :-)  I had a gold dress, black tights that I spray painted gold strips on, and a springy antennae headband. 

So I found some "bumble bee inspired" items
and put this yellow toned, flowery look together.
Bees love flowers! 

I personally love the little yellow rose purse.  So cute!

Maybe if I had a party to go to I would be more creative and come up with something not bee related.  hehehe
