Can't believe I missed another week, and I didn't even realize it!

It's almost too small already!  We have only had 2 chances to wear it this season.

Trying to get some Cheerios out!  One of his favorite moves is to carry the snack container around and shake it to leave a little trail of Cheerios in his wake.

Well, Poet, of course, the little fairy princess! 
Charlie, in the bottom pic with his Dad, looks like he is having a ton of fun!
My son has started doing this anticipatory shrieking/smiling as well recently.  Too cute!

33/52 All Dressed Up

We had a rehearsal dinner to attend last weekend and since we have few opportunities to get snazzy, I used it to put my boy in his little bow tie!  Cutest. Thing. Ever!  

(And those blue eyes are the exact color as Daddy's!  

Not sure what that face he is making is about, though!  haha)

Honorable mention:  Look, I can use a straw like a big boy! 

(Usually without spilling it or spitting any out!  haha)

Week 30/52 - One of his favorite activities, taking all the diapers down from the changing table shelf!

I just love his little plaid shorts! (or "shants" as his Dad calls them short/pants)

He looks like a preppy toddler!  haha

27/52 Fourth of July

We spent part of the afternoon on the 4th down at Mission Bay, on Fiesta Island.  

It was a madhouse, so packed with people, but we managed to snag a spot and enjoy some time on the sand, in the water, and in the sun.   

Had to throw a bonus pic in this week because it was his first time in the ocean/bay and he loved it!

26/52 Snoozing on Dad

Most nights (like 360 out of the last 365 I'd say, with confidence) this boy nurses to sleep.  One night last week he was distracted and kept squirming around, so I let him off my lap and he wiggled over to Daddy and crawled all over him for a few minutes.  This generally works to get the wiggles out and he usually crawls back over to me. 

Apparently not this night.  

This was just too cute to NOT take a picture of.

25/52 Mister Serious

I'm not sure what this look was for... Maybe "Really, Mama, more pictures?"  hahaha 

I just love him in those overalls.   

They are the real deal vintage hand-me-downs and I wish he'd never grow out of them.

I also just love his beautiful face and anytime he looks at me, 

whatever look he has on his face, 

my heart melts a bit.

24/52 Smizing

This pic was taken on Father's Day when the boy and his Dad wore matching camo shorts and orange shirts.  Cutest thing EVER!   

He was so proud of himself for holding the door handle and moving the door open and closed while he stood behind it.  Getting too big too fast!!

Love how his eyes are smiling, or "smizing" as Tyra Banks would say.  hahaha

23/52 Swim Lessons!

This past weekend we started swim class at the YMCA!  I let Daddy have the privilege of being the one in the water with our boy and it was such a sweet sight to watch them splashing and singing songs with the other little ones.  

They both seemed to have a really fun time!

Daddy was SO excited to get him this Tonka dump truck for his birthday.

19/52 Garden Baby

This post is a couple of days late... I generally post on Wednesdays from work (for some reason I have trouble uploading photos at home!?!) but we were evacuated from our office Wednesday due to the crazy FIRES all over North County San Diego this week.  Here is a pic from my office parking lot minutes before we got the mandatory evacuation call from the fire department.  A little too close for comfort!

Last weekend (on the Saturday before Mother's Day) we went on a walking Garden Tour in the San Diego neighborhood of Mission Hills.  We saw a bunch of lovely homes and gardens and got a lot of good ideas for our house, where we are working on redoing the landscaping.  I plopped the boy down on some nice grass and snapped this pic at one of the houses.  Such a cutie! (If I do say so myself!)

17/52 Free Standing

He's been letting go quite often lately, and standing for a few seconds on his own.  He just stands there looking kind of proud and checks to see if we are watching.  haha

This particular time was probably the longest I've seen, around 30 seconds!  Long enough for me to grab my camera and get a pic. I can't believe he is this big already!!
